What and where

I run creative writing workshops in Nottingham and the surrounding area. These can include elements of free writing, fiction, poetry and/or memoir.

My experience

Nottingham Refugee Forum

I set up and co-ran a series of writing workshops for refugees and asylum seekers. These took place at the Nottingham and Notts Refugee Forum. I also mentored delegates outside the group on a one-to-one basis.

Maggie's Nottingham

I’m an experienced Writing for Wellbeing tutor. I ran regular Creative Writing sessions at Maggie’s Nottingham for over 4 years. At Maggie’s, sessions focused on the therapeutic elements of creative writing for people affected by cancer. Some participants had previous experience of writing while others were beginners. The aim was to help every participant, whatever their experience, to process their emotions through writing.

Individual workshops

I have run a variety of one-off workshops for large and small writing groups. I’ve also facilitated public sessions at venues such as Nottingham Writers Studio and Carriages Cafe, Newark (Castle Railway Station).
